Tiger Zane: bio

Tiger Zane

Demure and velvety, sultry and sensuous, confidence and earthiness...these are words critics use to describe Tiger Zane. Tiger’s music is both powerful and melodic— high energy and heart felt.

Tiger Zane is a Seattle based singer and songwriter who has been compared to Sheryl Crow, Joni Mitchell, and The Cowboy Junkies. Her songs are a soulful hybrid of folk rock and pop with occasional winks at country and jazz . Tiger’s music has been influenced by extensive travel in Europe. She spent time living in France and her newest recording includes a song by French writer Serge Gainsbourg.

Her full length CD, “no matter what”, is upbeat and sexy. It explores love, life and the quest for creativity and beauty. Tiger’s band includes dynamic drummer Michael Alex (Hart & The Hurricane), bassist and film composer Jeff Tolbert and recent addition James Howard on electric guitar. Their live act is captivating and fun; they perform originals sprinkled with a variety of covers.

Performance venues in Seattle include the well known Tractor Tavern, The Showbox, The Sunset Tavern, ToST, The Highdive as well as a wide range of festivals such as Folklife, The Bite of Seattle, The Edmonds Arts Festival, and the Shoreline Arts Festival. She has been hired by the Seattle Downtown Association and The Issaquah Downtown Association for outdoor summer concerts. Her music has been aired on KMTT—The Mountain, KEXP and KBCS.
